Equipe d'Ostéopathes

Our Osteopathic Approach

At OHC, we strive to combine experience, tradition, and an up-to-date evidence based practice. Together, we work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with each member contributing their specific expertise.
Our holistic approach to the individual aims to ensure that every patient seeking our help receives the therapeutic option best suited to their needs.

We are trained in therapeutic approaches tailored to a wide range of individuals, including infants, children, the elderly, as well as pregnant women and athletes.

During our consultations, great attention is paid to:

Understanding
Active listening, observation, and clinical examination are essential to gaining a clear understanding of the patient’s condition.
Explaining
Sharing relevant information with the patient to help them understand their condition.
Appropriate Treatment
Implementing the most suitable osteopathic treatment to provide relief as quickly as possible. A wide range of mobilisations and manipulations is used, along with gentle techniques that require a highly refined touch.
Prevention
Guiding the patient in a proactive, preventive approach to their health.

When Should You See Your Osteopath ?

You can consult an osteopath for:

  • Recent or chronic pain of muscular, joint, or neurological origin (neuralgia)
  • Lower back, mid-back, or neck pain, as well as pain affecting other joints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, …)
  • Tendinopathy (Tendinitis), fasciitis, …
  • Headaches, migraines, tension type headaches, …
  • Functional pain or disorders related to digestion, menstruation, …
  • Pediatric consultations for infant conditions such as positional torticollis, plagiocephaly, colic, …

Your osteopath is able to determine whether their intervention alone can provide relief. If not, they will recommend consulting your doctor or the most appropriate specialist based on your presenting complaint.

Practical Information

Some issues can be resolved in a single consultation. In general, over 60% of our patients see their problem resolved within three visits, and 90% within six consultations. If your condition is chronic, more time may be needed to observe improvement or achieve complete resolution. The ultimate goal is always to help you regain as much autonomy as possible.

No, a medical prescription is not required to consult an osteopath.

Currently, osteopathy is not covered by the CNS. However, most complementary health insurance providers offer reimbursement (Le Foyer, DKV, Axa, CMCM, etc.).

For your treatment to be effective, you will be asked to remain in your underwear. However, loose-fitting clothing can also be worn to allow for proper examination and movement. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, so don’t hesitate to discuss this with your osteopath.

Sessions last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the practitioner and the reason for the consultation.

Yes, if you have recent medical imaging results (X-rays, MRIs, ultrasounds, etc.), bringing them to your consultation can help your osteopath better understand your condition and adapt the treatment accordingly.
